Robyn Parker's farewell tour: 'Logging protects… Koreans?'

Shadow Environment Minister Luke Foley has today congratulated Premier Barry O'Farrell on a masterstroke – sending hapless Environment Minister Robyn Parker offshore.

Ms Parker has been sent to Korea to represent NSW at the international Union for Conservation of Nature World Parks Congress this week.

"This mission to the Korean peninsula is Robyn Parker's chance to go global," Mr Foley said.

"The NSW Environment Minister, famous for declaring 'logging protects koalas', can now take her message to the world.

"This will be a forum for Robyn Parker to take her novel conservation methods to a global audience.

"Shooters rampaging through our national parks. The return of duck hunting. Logging that protects koalas.

"No serious environmentalist believes that Robyn Parker can make a thoughtful contribution to the international environmental debate.

"This is Barry O'Farrell giving Robyn Parker a farewell lap of honour."
