ONE IN SIX STAFF MADE REDUNDANT AS BAIRD SLASHES MULTICULTURAL NSW

The Baird Government has cut 13 jobs at Multicultural NSW, the state’s peak agency responsible for multicultural policy.

Minister for Multiculturalism John Ajaka was forced to reveal the job cuts following questioning by Labor’s Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism Sophie Cotsis.

Minister Ajaka admitted the job cuts would come into effect on 20 August 2015.

Multicultural NSW employed 78 staff according to its most recent Annual Report. This means that one in six staff at Multicultural NSW have lost their jobs.
